Suggestions help you decide what to revise first. This page explains how to use them properly, what to practise subject by subject, and how to avoid the common mistake of studying only "expected" questions.

What a Good Suggestion Is (and Is Not)
- A good suggestion is built from the syllabus and from patterns in previous year papers, so it shows the question types and chapters that carry weight.
- It is a revision map, not a promise. The board sets its own paper every year.
- It works best after you have finished the syllabus once, as the last 3 to 4 weeks of revision.
How to Use Suggestions in the Last Weeks
- Finish the whole syllabus first. Mark the chapters you are weak in.
- Solve previous year HSLC papers in exam time to see the real pattern.
- Go through the suggestion subject by subject and tick questions you can answer fully without looking.
- Write out the answers you cannot recall. Check them against a guide or your textbook.
- Repeat the weak chapters twice more before each paper.
Subject-wise Focus
| Subject | Where to put your practice |
|---|---|
| Mathematics | Numerical practice daily; a sketch or a step for every mark; chapters like Polynomials, Quadratic Equations, Trigonometry and Statistics need repeated problems. See the Maths important questions guide. |
| General Science | Definitions, reasons and diagrams; chemical equations; numericals in Electricity and Light. See the Science important questions guide. |
| English | Textbook lessons and poems, grammar items, letter and essay formats. Practise writing, not just reading. |
| Assamese | Lesson summaries and question-answer practice, grammar and composition formats. |
| Social Science | Short notes, dates and maps; practise writing structured answers for each lesson. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Do suggestions come in the HSLC exam?
Questions can overlap with suggestions, but no one can promise it. Use suggestions to prioritise, and still revise the full syllabus.
When should I start using a suggestion?
After you have completed the syllabus once. Use it in the last 3 to 4 weeks as a checklist.
Is there an official suggestion?
The board does not publish a list of expected questions. Leepie suggestions are an independent study aid.
